New MailerSend pricing: Introducing more flexible, scalable plans
The new pricing and plans will come into effect on Monday, July 29th. We’re giving existing customers the ability to lock in their current pricing, which we’ll explain in more detail below.
The main changes are:
We’re introducing a new plan between the current Premium and Enterprise tiers
Plan names and features will be updated to more accurately reflect users’ needs
Plan limits for features such as sender identities, domains, and users will also be updated
Keep reading to learn more about what these changes will involve and why we’re making them.
Why we’re updating our plans
As our customer base grows and becomes more diverse, we’ve recognized a need for additional flexibility and scalability for businesses that are outgrowing the Premium plan but aren’t quite ready for Enterprise. This will allow growing businesses to more easily and affordably scale their email without the need for a custom solution.
We’re also introducing some small price increases for what is currently the Premium plan, which is necessary to keep providing the level of service we always strive for. It will also allow us to continue developing MailerSend and adding new features that will make sending and managing email delivery even more efficient and reliable.
Here’s some of what we’ve introduced and improved over the last year:
New integrations: Connect with 25 platforms covering e-commerce, automation, and developer tools
Drag & drop builder: A brand new drag & drop editor with 90+ content blocks to create templates with
Analytics: Reporting is made easier with downloadable reports, advanced filtering options
Email API: Constant updates for improved efficiency and functionality
MailerSend dashboard: Revamped for better user experience and the most important metrics in one place
IP allowlisting: Increased security for accounts by allowing specific IPs and IP ranges
Email threads: Better handling of conversations
Custom headers: For additional personalization and analytics capabilities
Domain verification: More scalable and secure verification process
Inbound emails: Improved functionality for more reliable and customizable inbound routes
And there’s more to come! Check out our roadmap to see what we’re working on.
New plan tier and restructuring
Our plans are being renamed and restructured and we’ve added another tier between Premium and Enterprise. Introducing the Hobby plan (formerly Free/Starter), the Starter plan (formerly Premium), the Professional plan (new), and remaining the same, the Enterprise plan.
This restructuring will result in some changes in limitations for the Premium (Starter) plan.
Premium plan limits
Feature | Limit before changes | Limit as of 29th July |
Domains | 50 | 10 |
Data retention | 14 days | 7 days |
Users | 20 | 5 |
API tokens | 100 | 50 |
Sender identities | 250 | 50 |
Rest assured that current users won’t lose access to their existing resources! Even if you exceed the new limits, you’ll retain access to all your domains, users, API tokens, and sender identities. Nothing will be deleted.
The free plan (Hobby) will remain with up to 3,000 emails per month free of charge but with the ability to add up to 5 users instead of the current 1.
Say hey to the Professional plan
The new Professional plan bridges the gap between the current Premium (will be Starter) plan and Enterprise. This plan has been introduced to give growing businesses access to the volumes and features they need to continue growing, even if they aren’t quite ready for an Enterprise-level solution.
It will also include custom settings and branding options, making the Professional plan ideal for agencies or multi-brand companies sending up to 2 million emails per month. Here’s what it includes.
Unlimited API tokens, webhooks, sender identities, inbound routes, and SMTP users
Unlimited users
1,000 domains
500,000 requests per day
Support for custom headers
Inbound message spam scanning
30 days data retention
Unlimited files and templates
Split test up to 100 emails concurrently
And many other new features that will allow you to better manage your email, such as template themes, localized templates, and custom branding options!
Pricing for the Professional plan will be released shortly so stay tuned.
Lock in your Premium plan pricing
In addition to the plan changes and restructuring, there will be a small increase in pricing for the current Premium plan.
Premium (Starter) plan monthly pricing
Number of emails | Price before changes | Price as of 29th July |
50,000 | $30. | $35 |
100,000 | $60 | $68 |
250,000 | $150 | $163 |
500,000 | $300 | $325 |

1,000,000 | $580 | $600 |
Current Premium plan users have the opportunity to lock in their pricing for the next year by subscribing to a yearly subscription. This will also give you a 20% discount overall. If you choose to stick with a monthly plan, the new pricing will come into effect during the first billing cycle after July 29th, 2024.
To switch to a yearly plan:
1. Log in to MailerSend and head to the Plan & billing page.
2. Select the Pay yearly tab and click Subscribe now.
3. Enter your billing information and click Checkout to complete the order.
What’s next?
Existing Premium plan customers will be migrated to a Starter plan at the beginning of the new billing cycle after July 29th, 2024. If you don’t subscribe to a yearly plan before this date, your monthly pricing will also be adjusted to match the new pricing.
You won’t lose access to any of your existing resources, so you don’t need to worry about your account functioning as usual. But in the case that you already meet or exceed the new limits, you won’t be able to create any new ones.
Our pricing page will be updated shortly to show a full feature and price comparison between all of the tiers, so you can make the best decision about which plan is right for your business.
